2005 AAO Foundation Gala

At the AAO Annual Session in San Francisco, the AAO Foundation has planned the “2005 AAO Foundation Gala” for the evening of Saturday, May 21st, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel on Union Square. The black-tie suggested evening will include a open bar reception with scrumptious hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction of dozens of valuable items, a fabulous dinner prepared by renown Bay area chefs, served with some of the region’s finest wines, and topped off with entertainment from the musical sensation, “Phantom of the Opera,” the theme for the evening.
Tickets are offered at $195 each, with tables of ten (10) offered at $1950. As the per person cost for the evening is more than the price of admission, there is no charitable deduction possible.
Cost of the event is underwritten by five (5) Gala Event Marquee Corporate Sponsors, i.e., 3M Unitek, American Orthodontics, GAC International, Inc., Ormco Corporation, and TP Orthodontics. The AAO Foundation Board of Directors and the 2005 Gala Committee salutes these companies for their support of this special event. UNMASK THE MYSTERY HOST--Will it be you? AAO Foundation Phantom of the Opera Gala Saturday, May 21 Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco At this incredible evening of dining and entertainment, an intriguing visitor is expected. A reclusive fellow—one who shuns the limelight: The Phantom of the Opera! But, for the love of the AAOF and its vital work to preserve the orthodontic specialty, he will emerge to reveal the identity of the Mystery Host of this gala. Vie for the opportunity to have a brief, yet memorable, audience with The Phantom— by becoming a Mystery Host contestant. For each $25,000 raised, you earn one chance for the drawing which will determine the Mystery Host (see contest rules immediately below for details). The Mystery Host will receive a table for ten at the gala. Your identity, like that of The Phantom, will be cloaked in secrecy until the moment The Phantom appears to unmask the Mystery Host. Come together with friends and colleagues for this highly anticipated event when, at last, the Mystery Host will be unmasked. Will it be you? (Note: While it is difficult to determine to just what extent the 2000 Gala realized additional pledges to the Endowment Campaign, A CASE FOR THE FUTURE, we estimate that this event resulted in a minimum of $300,000 in new pledges and pledge increases.)
