AAOF supports residents to secure the future of the orthodontic specialty.

2022 Dr. Fred A. Garrett Resident Education Program

The AAO Foundation recognizes the importance of residents having the opportunity to experience an AAO Annual Session, and we support them through this program by offering a one-time $400 incentive to offset expenses to attend the conference.

Due to the 2020 and 2021 AAO Annual Sessions moving to a virtual platform, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have extended eligibility for this program for the 2022 Annual Session in Miami Beach, FL to also include new orthodontists who were residents during those meetings.

To qualify for the Dr. Fred A. Garrett Resident Education Program incentive of $400, residents must register for AAO Annual Session, and meet the following qualifications:

1. Be a member of AAO
2. Have a graduation date AFTER November 1, 2019
3. Study in a program in the U.S. or Canada
4. Attend Annual Session (in person) and visit the AAOF Booth during Exhibit Hall Hours to complete requirements that confirm attendance.
5. Have not received this incentive in previous years (2019 in Los Angeles).

*Please note, we no longer require an advance application or W-9 form. Checks will be mailed directly to residents AFTER Annual Session concludes.
