WELCOME TO THE AAO FOUNDATION!

The American Association of Orthodontists Foundation received a $200,000 commitment from Angel Aligner, a global leader in clear aligner technology to support the Foundation's For the Future campaign.

The AAO Foundation is pleased to announce the 2025 grant awards. At the recommendation of the AAO Foundation's Planning and Awards Committee, after carefully evaluating 50 applications, the committee has recommended $590,429.49 in funding.

In a tremendous act of generosity and compassion, the Southern Association of Orthodontists (SAO) and Southwest Society of Orthodontists (SWSO) Constituencies of the AAO, which collectively refer to themselves as the Southern Society of Orthodontists (SSO), have announced a $25,000 contribution to support the AAO Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund following the recent devastating hurricanes. This gift aims to accelerate the recovery process for orthodontists impacted by the storms. This follows the North Carolina Association's commitment and gift of $10,000 made in October. 

To expand the impact of this initiative, they are offering a matching gift for contributions made by every SAO/SWSO (SSO) member. Every donated dollar will be matched (up to $10,000), doubling the resources available to aid in the recovery and rebuilding process. This match is designed to maximize the collective support of our orthodontic community and provide much-needed resources to those in crisis. 

The AAO Foundation's Donated Orthodontic Services Program (DOS) is honored to be recognized as an ASAE 2022 Power of Associations Silver Award recipient. These awards are to celebrate and promote the invaluable contributions that associations make to America and the world.

AAO Services Inc. (AAOSI), and entity of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), recently announced a dollar-to-dollar matching campaign in support of the Craniofacial Growth Legacy Collection Project.

The AAOF has committed an additional $540,000 to the Craniofacial Growth Legacy Collection Project over the next 5 years.

Dr. James Vaden learned that the AAO Foundation has honored him by establishing the James L. Vaden Teaching Fellowship Award. The new AAOF named award recognizes Dr. Vaden's exceptional contributions to orthodontic education over the course of his career.
